A Call to Prayer
for Missing, Exploited, and Trafficked Children
Day 6
Thank you for joining Day 6 of the 10-day prayer initiative for missing, exploited, and trafficked children. This day’s focus is on, after having repented of our complacencies, seeking continued anointing from the Lord for His beloved Church, that we, as the united body of Christ, may move forward in our efforts with His blessing.
As a reminder, each day in this initiative includes Scriptures upon which to read and reflect, a basic discussion regarding the intention of the prayer topic, and a prayer that is to simply serve as a guide or starting point; what matters most is that we are directed by Biblical truth, lean into further intimacy with the heart of God, and be lead by the Spirit.

Praying for the Continued Anointing of the Church
“When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:1-4a
On the day of Pentecost, the believers were gathered together and the Holy Spirit came upon them like fire in a rushing wind. They spoke in tongues and were able to preach the gospel to foreigners in the languages of all the nations present. They proclaimed the Gospel with wisdom and boldness. They healed the sick. They cast out demons. They spoke and taught with authority. And, the church grew. This power did not dissipate; rather, it grew. And, that same power is present today in the lives of believers. We not only need to take personal responsibility for the fight against child trafficking and sexual exploitation, we also need to understand that taking such responsibility is and will be backed by the power, the Spirit, of the living, all-powerful Lord of heaven. What would you do if you knew deep within your bones that you were essential to the mission of Christ? What would you do if you knew with all your being that you were empowered in this essential mission by the Spirit of the Living God?
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’” Isaiah 6:8
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8
Prayer
Holy Spirit, anoint and empower Your church, the Body of Christ, that we may move in power and conviction according to the will of the Father. Let Your fire fall, Lord, and lead us to recognize Your indwelling already present within us. Come, Holy Spirit, come; rest on us and within us and around us. Make Your presence known like a rushing wind. And, God, make Your presence known through us to the lost and hurting and to those in need.
We know, Father, that You are the God who sees the afflictions of the brokenhearted; You know the trauma of the trafficked and exploited; You have seen the schemes of the wicked. Therefore, Lord, just as You sent Moses to deliver Your people from the hand of Pharaoh, from oppression and suffering, send us. Here we are Lord, send us. Send me.
You are the Lord who gave strength to our hands and feet that we may work, breath in our lungs that we may speak Your truth and praise Your name, and sight to our eyes that we may know the plight of the hurting. Do not let us waste such gifts. Lead us to love You, oh God, with all of our being—heart, soul, mind, and strength. Anoint us. Commission us. Send us. And, in this, we hold to the truth that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Amen.
“Then the LORD said, ‘I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. And now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.’” Exodus 3:7-10
